APA Athletics
Athletic programs allow all participants to build fundamental skills, including reflexes and endurance, and especially, to learn teamwork and sportsmanship.
Our programs provide a common ground for parents and students to meet, interact and participate. When a student is active in athletics at the middle school level, he or she gains valuable skills needed to play each sport effectively and, eventually, to play competitively at the high school level.
High school sports stress the value of academics first along with teamwork and building of character.
APA is a member of the IHSAA and follows its codes and bylaws. In addition to the IHSAA bylaws, APA has it own athletic code of conduct expected of all our athletes.
Participation in school athletics requires a physical before practicing or actual participation. The physical form may be found here. APA also follows guidelines for cardiac arrest and concussions. Information about these are also available.
