Pre-Academy Choir

Our Pre-Academy Choir allows girls and boys in grades 6-8 to participate in a musical ensemble that will teach them singing fundamentals and basic musicianship through activities and repertoire that is experience and age appropriate.  Students will learn to sing unison, 2-part, and 3-part music and will have opportunities for solo and small-group singing.  While the Pre-Academy Choir will perform as a group, classes are divided by grade level for ease of scheduling and to allow the director to focus on the different needs of the developing voices of this age group.   There are no auditions required for this group.

As this is a performance-based ensemble, concerts and off-campus performances will be required.

Performances may include:

  • Fall Choir Concert

  • Yuletide Christmas Celebration

  • Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Middle School Organizational Contest & Festival

  • Pre-Academy Fine Arts Night

  • Spring Choir Concert
