APA cadets will have a program available starting in the 2nd semester. The program is APA Fish Academy and will give in-person and on-line students the opportunity to learn skills through an outdoor science with fishing instruction. Pictured are some of the senior leadership team members that unpacked our first fishing instruction kit including 12 rods and reels and materials to make a casting range. To see details about the program we are using, go to www.fishinginschool.org . Check out the fishing kits in pics below. Contact Capt. Hayden for more information. jhayden@goapa.org
You can also visit www.microfishacademy.com for the overview of the program. We will be looking for people to become certified NFSP fishing instructors. Adults that would like to assist with the program would need to go to www.goapa.org and complete the volunteer background check form. We hope that 9-12 cadets can take an angling science class for credit.

Put simply, the Cadet Wingman Course is a carefully designed learning experience that takes brand new cadets and equips them with some fundamental information and skills concerning the imperative to stay safe so they can achieve their goals and “accomplish the mission.”
