Congratulations to APA fifth grader, Victoria Sparks, who got to spend a day at the Indiana Statehouse for Girl Scouts Day!

Girl Scouts were able to meet with and hear directly from legislators, advocates, and civic leaders about how they create change--and how girls can, too!

Jets Varsity Track and Field team competed at Taylor University this past Friday night. Student/athletes did well and had fun while running against good competition at the meet.

Elementary teachers reported at normal time today to make sure our building is put back together in time for cadets. Thank you, families, for being flexible this morning with our delay. We know it's inconvenient but it will allow precious time to make sure there is no disruption to the learning process. A special thank you to Jim and our maintenance crew for putting in the manual labor of moving all of our teachers' things back to their rooms in the early morning hours. Due to roof damage at 22nd St. and to allow adequate time to prepare the buildings for classes, all students K-12 will be on a 2 hour delay tomorrow, Monday, 3/16/26. All staff will report at their normal report times. Launch Pad will operate on normal schedule. #MakeYourDreamsTakeFlight

Last week, APA had an opportunity not many other schools have had. We were able to pivot and last-minute host Sectional 57 after a rain delay inside the original location! We were and are still so grateful for the opportunity to host a sectional AND then watch our team make it to the championship game. 🥹 Thank you to the IHSAA for trusting that we could do it, our AD and staff who synergized to make it happen, and to our fans for supporting us along the way. We couldn't have done it without you. We hosted easily 1,000+ fans throughout the week and sold 437 tickets just for Saturday night's final. That may seem silly to bigger schools but for this little gym, it was one little piece of Hoosier Hysteria we will keep forever. 💙 There's nothing like being a Jet and we're so proud to call The Hangar home. #MakeYourDreamsTakeFlight

Late last year, we surveyed APA families to hear reasons why they're proud of APA. APA alum, Breydon Ball, shared that APA is, "A school that pushes your to succeed!" You'll see this family of smiling faces on billboards around town.

We had the absolute honor to host Wounded Warrior Project speaker, Danielle L. Green, on Friday. Ms. Green spoke to all Academy and Pre-Academy cadets on the topics of resilience, purpose, and mindset. She told the cadets allegories of her life growing up in Chicago, earning a scholarship to play basketball at Notre Dame, and then enlisting in the military. We are so grateful to support WWP and our nation's veterans. As an IDOE Purple Star School, we are committed to supporting our military families. #MakeYourDreamsTakeFlight

Shoutout to Our Esports Tetris Star! Congratulations to Jayla Mosley for an outstanding Esports season representing Anderson Preparatory Academy! Jayla helped lead APA to the playoffs this year while competing in Tetris, showing great focus, determination, and sportsmanship. Come cheer this group of hard-working performers and celebrate our three seniors—Jacoby Bradford, Val Fischer, and Chloe McNaughton—as they take their final bows on a competition stage.
